Meet Captain Coleman Reich
Captain Coleman Reich grew up in Wallburg, North Carolina, a small town in the Piedmont Triad where his love for fishing started at an early age. What began as surf fishing trips with his grandfather along the North Carolina coast quickly turned into a lifelong passion for the water.
After earning his captain’s license, Coleman spent several years working and learning under experienced captains at Outlaw Fishing Charters, gaining invaluable hands-on experience fishing the waters of the South Carolina coast. With that knowledge and a drive to build something of his own, he eventually launched Rooster Tail Charters, where he now shares his passion for fishing with anglers of all experience levels.
Before becoming a professional captain, Coleman was also a dedicated athlete. He competed in baseball, track, and football from the age of five through high school, eventually earning a full athletic scholarship to Coastal Carolina University. From 2018 to 2022 he played football for the Chanticleers while living along the Grand Strand—an experience that further deepened his connection to the local waters.
Today, Captain Coleman combines the discipline of an athlete with the passion of a lifelong fisherman to create unforgettable days on the water. Whether it’s your first time fishing or you’re a seasoned angler, his goal is simple: make sure every trip is fun, memorable, and ends with great fish stories to take home.
Chants Up, Baby!
