January – The beginning of the year is a great time to for near shore and offshore fishing in Murrells Inlet, SC. Inshore species in January are Trout, Redfish, and Black Drum. If you want to go offshore the Bluefin Tuna are always biting on New Years!
February – It’s a great time to nearshore fishing because once your done catching the speckled Trout, redfish, Black Drum and Sheepshead. You can enjoy the Annual MarshWalk Restaurant Week or Marshi Gras on the MarshWalk depending on which week you are here.
March – One of the things you can count on in March as the water warms up in Murrells Inlet, the bait fish become more prevalent, and it draws the redfish into feeding which is excellent when chartering near shore fishing with the family. We always check the conditions here at outlaw and if the seas and the weather is right we can go after Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna this time of year. April – A Murrells inlet fishing charter in April is a great time to pull in some Flounder! The captains at outlaw will get them cleaned and ready for fish later that evening or in the next couple of days. Drum and Trout are running strong in April as well. In the middle of April The Annual MarshWalk Masters is an great event for families that you can participate in after a morning fishing trip. It’s a golf contest with food and drinks right on the Marshwalk where the outlaw fishing boats are docked in Murrells Inlet, SC.
May – The best fishing charters in Murrells Inlet, SC know that the Spanish Mackerel Nearshore are notorious to be schooling in May. Spanish also draw bigger fish inshore so get ready to see a shark or two. We always hooking Flounder in May as well! After your fish are cleaned if you have chance Bike week last 10 days in May, ending around the 22nd. Stop by and see the motorcycles and vendors at the The Beaver Bar and Suck Bang Blow.
June – The warm waters of summer bring the fish out not just inshore, and nearshore, but offshore fishing is plentiful in June. So many species like the warm water Dolphin, Bluefish, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Spotted Sea Trout, Redfish, Flounder, and many more.
July – You name it we catch it in the Month of July nearshore of Murrells Inlet, SC on the Outlaw Fishing Charter boats! This is a time where you can catch a King Mackerel. Our Captains have experience catching them and can target species based on time of year and conditions.
August- August in Murrells Inlet, SC inshore on the reefs is where we spend time catching King Mackerel and Amberjack just to name a few. The waters are warm and it’s a great time to be on a boat enjoying a fishing trip with Outlaw Fishing Charters in Murrells Inlet, SC.
September – Try to book your fishing trip with Outlaw Fishing Charters in the first week of September and make sure to visit the MIPC Arts and Craft festival, sponsored by the Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church located right next to the boat ramp in Murrells Inlet, SC. The redfish will be biting inshore.
October – Bull Reds, Trout, and Flounder will be surrounding the Outlaw Fishing Charter Boats in October. Its still warm enough to visit the Marshwalk once your trip is complete and visit Dead Dog Saloon or the Claw House for a cocktail or lunch with the kids.
November – As the waters cool down in Murrells Inlet SC the Trout and Redfish will be feeding and looking for your bait hook to pull em in one of the Outlaw Fishing Charters Boats. Make sure to visit Wahoos on the Marshwalk for lunch on your way out of town.
December – Well Christmas is around the corner and it’s always nice to have a fishing story to tell during the holidays. Believe it or not we catch plenty of fish near the oyster beds this time of year. Inshore we can still pull a Tuna or Dolphin in the boat.
